Running since 1955, the German Lotto is one of the oldest, most established lottery games in the world. It is also known as Lotto 6 aus 49 and has its draws twice a week, at 18:25 CET on Wednesdays and at 19:25 CET on Saturdays. The rules are simple: players must match six numbers from 1 to 49 and one bonus number, or Superzahl, from 0 to 9, which is drawn from a separate machine. There are nine different ways to claim any prize in the German Lotto. The overall odds of walking away with any prize are 1 in 31.
